Action/Adventure Theatre’s annual fundraiser brings together some of our favorite writers, performers, musicians, and artists for a night of inspired interdisciplinary entertainment.

Here’s how it works: Writers are asked to generate 200-word flash fiction stories based on a theme—this year’s themes are Action! and Adventure! Performers and visual artists then create original work inspired by those stories. At the fundraiser, all of the art is presented in one big cross-pollinated jumble of inspiration: Readings, performances, comedy music, and visual art, plus a silent auction featuring a wide array of local donations. Action/Adventure will also introduce new company members and announce our 2015/2016 season, and then we will all drink a socially acceptable* amount of booze at the Eagles Lodge bar.

We'll also have an amazing silent auction that includes visual art based on the pieces of flash fiction and tons of amazing stuff. 
In addition to the show, we'll also close out the night with a set from a super secret local band. SUPER SECRET! 

Inspired By… serves as a fundraiser for Action/Adventure Theatre. All proceeds will go to support our next season of hyper-local new work, which has been described by critics as “theater at its choicest” and “What small theater is supposed to be: meritocratic, accessible, adventurous and tireless.”
